The reason? Wood moves. It warps. It cracks. Traditional putter makers couldn't solve the fundamental problem: moisture.
We did.
Stage One: Precision Drying
Through precision kiln drying across multiple sessions at carefully controlled temperatures, we remove moisture without shocking the wood. Cedar requires a completely different approach than walnut. Maple demands its own timeline. We're chasing zero percent moisture content—an extraordinarily difficult goal that requires both science and patience.
Stage Two: Resin Tempering
Then comes the magic - this is where it gets hard.
We place the dried wood in a vacuum-pressurized chamber and infuse it with a proprietary resin system. The process is as much art as science, turning stable wood into something that shouldn't exist: wood with the hardness of aluminum, the durability of modern composites, and the soul that only natural materials possess.
This is the tempering process. It's difficult. It's proprietary. And it's why our putters can stand up to tour-level play.
